This 12-sided vintage aqua soda water bottle is a beautiful example of early glass manufacturing and functional design. Often referred to as “cathedral style” due to its tall, faceted form, this bottle features a classic wire bail swing-top closure, also known as a flip-top, Quillfeldt stopper, or swing-top—a design patented in 1874.
The soft aqua/light blue tint is a naturally occurring color seen in glass from the late 19th to early 20th century, created by iron content in the sand used during production. Its twelve-sided shape not only adds visual interest but also allowed for easier gripping and strength.
Perfect as a decorative accent in a kitchen, bar cart, shelf styling, or antique bottle collection, this piece carries both history and charm.
