A beautiful vintage milk glass electric lamp featuring Currier & Ives Early American imagery in classic black and white. With its pastoral homestead scene, ornate chimney, and black metal accents, this piece has wonderful Colonial, Americana, and vintage farmhouse character.
The rounded milk glass base features a detailed black transferware homestead scene wrapping around the font-style basin, depicting a peaceful rural landscape with farmhouse, trees, and countryside scenery.
One of the most interesting features is the four-sided frosted glass chimney, with a different black transfer design displayed on each side:
- Horse and carriage crest motif
- Rooster and weathervane surrounded by laurel leaves
- Nautical sailing ship
- Federal-style eagle with laurel branches, arrow, and stars
The lamp is finished with a black metal base and burner-style fitting and features a traditional thumb-wheel turner, preserving the appearance of an antique oil lamp while functioning as an electric lamp.
