This vintage Gerald E. Henn stoneware pie plate was crafted by The Workshops of Gerald E. Henn in Roseville, Ohio. It features the beautiful Rose Sponge pattern, with its distinctive hand-applied rose-red sponge decoration over a warm natural cream stoneware base.
A wonderful example of vintage American spongeware pottery, the hand-applied finish gives the pattern its irregular, collected character. The warm red and cream coloring is especially pretty for farmhouse, primitive, country, and cottage-style kitchens.
Measuring approximately 10 inches in diameter, this vintage pie plate is beautiful displayed upright on a plate rack, layered with other stoneware and wooden cutting boards, or incorporated into a collection of vintage Ohio pottery.
