A harder-to-find Lady Clare design, this charming vintage string dispenser features a scenic view of Windsor Castle and the Round Tower. These functional little lacquerware dispensers don’t turn up often, especially with this particular English landmark design.
Made in England by Lady Clare, the round canister features a glossy black lacquered finish with gold-tone trim and a scenic image of Windsor Castle and its iconic Round Tower. The lid has a center opening that allows the string or twine to feed through while the ball remains neatly tucked inside.
The original Lady Clare maker’s label remains on the underside, and the dispenser still contains string, making it especially fun for display.
Lady Clare was known for decorative lacquerware and English home accessories, and this piece has that wonderful traditional British look that works beautifully in an English country, cottagecore, traditional, or vintage farmhouse setting.
