Beautiful and unusual set of six vintage aqua blue glass tumblers featuring a detailed raised blue and white rose garland wrapping around each glass.
The translucent aqua glass has a wonderful retro look, with the color becoming especially rich and vibrant through the thick, weighted bases. The floral decoration has a textured, dimensional quality, with layered roses and leaves in varying shades of blue and white.
These have been a bit of a vintage mystery. The glasses do not have an identifiable maker’s name or logo, and despite extensive research, I have not been able to locate another set with this exact combination of aqua glass and raised rose garland. There are small repeating impressions visible within the bottoms that appear to be related to the manufacturing process, but I have not been able to attribute them to a particular glassmaker.
