A cheerful pop of vintage yellow! This charming salt and pepper shaker set is attributed to Shawnee Pottery’s Flower & Fern (Fernware) line, produced during the 1940s.
The shakers feature the line’s distinctive raised design with vertical stems and symmetrical leafy sprigs, finished in a rich, glossy yellow glaze. The surface has wonderful fine crazing throughout, giving the glaze the character and patina collectors love in early American pottery.
Although these pieces are unmarked, their form, embossed botanical pattern, and glaze are consistent with examples attributed to Shawnee’s Flower & Fern line.
