Such a fun and unusual find! This charming pair of ceramic mugs features sculpted goose heads cleverly incorporated into the base of each handle. Finished in a creamy white glaze, each little goose has a bright orange bill, yellow accent and tiny black eye.

These mugs are completely unmarked, and I have been unable to locate another matching pair or even this exact design. Their slightly individual shapes and handcrafted details give them the appearance of vintage studio or artisan pottery, although without a maker’s mark, their exact origin and maker remain a mystery.

And honestly, that’s part of what makes them so charming.

The substantial rounded handles flow directly into the sculpted goose heads, making these just as much fun to display as they are to use. They’re perfect for a collected cottage kitchen, vintage coffee bar, open shelving—or for the goose lover who already has everything.

Styling Idea

These are the kind of mugs that deserve to stay out where you can see them. Display the pair on open kitchen shelving alongside vintage ironstone and pottery, hang them near a coffee station, or simply leave them sitting together on the counter. They’d add just the right amount of personality to a cottage, farmhouse or collected vintage kitchen.
