A charming vintage miniature jewelry armoire with all the ornate details that make French Provincial pieces so pretty.
Dating to approximately the 1970s, this tabletop jewelry cabinet features a painted cream finish accented with decorative gold scrollwork, petite drop-style handles, and beautifully detailed doors. The two upper cabinet doors open to reveal a velvet-lined interior with mirrors.
A wide drawer at the base provides additional storage and activates the built-in wind-up music box when opened. The music box has been tested, oiled and is working.
These decorative miniature armoires were popular vanity and dresser accessories during the mid-century era, with many examples produced in Japan. It would be lovely displayed on a vintage vanity, dresser, or bedside table and is just as decorative as it is functional.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with visible signs of age and use, including wear to the painted and gold-tone finish. Mirror on the left side has a small 1 inch crack. These imperfections are consistent with its age and vintage character. Please review photos closely for condition and details. Despite the age-related wear, it still displays beautifully.
Measurements:
• 10” tall
• 8” wide
• 5 1/4” deep
A wonderfully nostalgic piece for anyone who loves vintage vanity accessories, French Provincial decor, romantic cottage style, or unique jewelry storage.
Styling Ideas:
Style it on an antique dresser or vanity alongside a brass perfume tray, vintage hand mirror, candlesticks, or a small floral arrangement. It would also make a beautiful functional accent in a romantic cottage, shabby chic, or French-inspired bedroom.
